Installation and Use of Muffle Furnace
Initial Setup:
1.After unpacking, inspect the muffle furnace for any damage and verify all accessories are present. Place the furnace on a flat surface in a stable room environment. Position the controller to avoid vibrations and overheating, keeping it at a safe distance from the furnace.
Muffle Furnace Thermocouple Installation:
2. Insert the thermocouple into the furnace, ensuring it extends 20-50mm inside. Use asbestos rope to seal the gap around the thermocouple. Connect it to the controller using compensation wires (or insulated steel core wires), being mindful of the polarity.
Muffle Furnace Power and Safety Measures:
3. Install a power switch at the power line’s entry point for controlling the main power supply. Ensure both the electric furnace and controller are reliably grounded for safety.
Muffle Furnace Temperature Adjustment:
4. Before use, set the temperature indicator to zero. If using compensation wire and a cold junction compensator, adjust the mechanical zero point to the reference temperature of the cold junction compensator. This adjustment accounts for temperature differences across the cold junction of the thermocouple.
Muffle Furnace Powering Up and Temperature Control:
5. After confirming correct wiring, secure the controller’s cover. Set the temperature indicator to the desired working temperature and turn on the power. The green light on the temperature indicator should illuminate, indicating the relay’s activation and furnace power-up. The ammeter will display the current. As the furnace’s internal temperature rises, so will the temperature indicator’s pointer, signaling normal system operation.
